REPORT OF THE SHORT-TERM STUDENT EXCHANGE SPAIN

Meeting topic: "Renewable energy"
The objectives of the meeting:
- students will be delighted to develop their scientific knowledge by participating in the exhibition, the Biodiversity workshop and discussions with other students from partner schools
- students will develop their communication skills in foreign languages
- students will overcome any social, ethnic, religious barriers and will form joint work and discussion teams
- students will improve their ICT knowledge by developing the necessary materials for the meeting and then materials for the dissemination of the event in Spain
-students will improve their cultural knowledge about the participating countries
- will increase the students' responsibility in connection with the activities carried out abroad, they will self-evaluate in relation to other students, they will increase their self-confidence, initiative through working in mixed teams
- teachers will communicate with foreign colleagues and will discuss different educational systems, teacher-parent relationships and connection with the local school community
-sharing and developing pedagogical practice through school exchanges
- improving intercultural understanding, especially for minorities with a disadvantaged socio-economic background or difficulties in cultural inclusion (immigrants, refugees)
- teachers will enrich their partners' cultural / traditional knowledge
- teachers will develop their team spirit, skills of democratic behavior (tolerance / solidarity)
- teachers will build relationships of collegiality and friendship with foreign partners
Subject - "Renewable energy"
Carrying out activities
In the first 2 days the guests were present at the school but could not attend classes given their large number and the conditions of the Covid pandemic - therefore, the "Science Lesson" took place in the school yard where each team presented a material about The energy problems in their country and presented the activities they carried out in school on these topics. 

Spanish students presented the Scientific lessons " Renewable Energy"


At the end of each day there were artistic activities that were presented by each team - music and dance. Thus, the folk costumes of each country were presented, and the participants could listen live to a traditional song of each country.
On the last day, the "Biodiversity Lesson" took place in the morning. He visited Loro Park where they saw - whales, seals, penguins, parrots specific to the area and others. Participated in workshops on Biodiversity Conservation in which all foreign students participated together with Spanish students and their parents.

In the afternoon, the teams of students paid a visit to the city of La Laguna where they disseminated the project "Together for a Green Europe". In this location there is a Conference of an Erasmus + project 2019-1-1ES01-KA204-064893 "Las ARTES, an inclusive sailboat that unites Europe through adult education" coordinated by Professor Jesus Luis-Ravelo, President of the Association "Sociedad Canaria Elio Antonio de Nebrija" https://www.facebook.com/jesus.luisravelo

  

3. Proposals to capitalize on the results of the activities and to ensure the sustainability of the project
After returning to school, the participating teachers reported the results of the meeting of the international project team in Spain.
The project team made a short film to present the high school students of the important moments of the visit. Next, they will write a report for the Blog of the larger project, in English.
All the teachers from the gymnasium were informed on the WhatsApp group about this mobility.
4. Strategy for disseminating results and good practices
The activities and results of the project meeting were and will be presented:
- at the meeting of the project work team within the school;
- Within the teaching council and the Board of Directors;
- on the panel in the school hall;
- on the project web page
- on the Facebook and eTwinning account of the project
5. The impact of the project meeting on the participating teachers:
- Good development of cooperation relations within the partnership;
- Evaluation and dissemination of the project so far
- Free discussions with foreign colleagues about the educational instructional process in the partner schools, system problems, recent changes, etc.
- Improving the English language

 IMPRESSIONS OF THE ROMANIAN STUDENTS AFTER THE MOBILITY

I will not forget this experience all my life! I was very impressed by the drawings made by children with disabilities and how we were received by students from Spain.- Maya age 14

I will never forget this experience.  The way we were received in school was something totally unexpected.  With the help of students from other countries, we learned more about green energy and how we can use it in everyday life. - Filip, age 14

This was an unforgettable experience! I got the opportunity to see different schools from Europe , see how other students learn and also got the opportunity to practice English and Spanish. I was also able to learn more about renewable energy and the importance of the biodiversity!-Sofia age 14

IMPRESSION OF TURKISH STUDENTS AFTER EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS IN TENERİFE

- ESMA GÜNYOL: Hello I am Esma and I am 13 years old. It was a great experience in my life. I traveled long but it was worth it. I meet with new cultures, I talked English. I saw Spanish school. I liked it. People were polite and kindly. Thanks to Erasmus fort that meeting.
 

- Ecrin Naz OFLUOĞLU: Hello, I am Ecrin. I am 14 years old. We visited Spanish school. I felt the same as my hometown. People were warm and talkative. I presented Renewable energies. I sang a song about environment. Thanks to all and Erasmus.
 

- Aslıhan ÖZMEN: I am ten years old .This is my first plane traveling. I loved Spain. I liked people. I talked to new friends. I study Spanish. I will visit to Spain again. I miss Spain. I sang a song and I read my presentation. Thanks to Erasmus.
 

- Zeynep Berrak KARABULUT: Hello. I am 14 years old. I improved my English. I learned Spanish culture. I tasted new foods. I met new friends. I visited new places. I got new experiences. I presented Renewable Energy. Thanks for Erasmus.
 

- Ada KARACA: Hello, I am 11 years old. I was excited for traveling. I talked in English. I visited school and sang a song. I liked school and people. I met with Romanian, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese people. It was amazing mobility. Thank you teachers.
 

- Berra Zeynep ÖZÇITAK: Hi, I am 10 years old. I talked in English. I made new friends. I visited school and I sang a song and I presented Renewable Energy. I danced. I loved that visiting. Thank you, Erasmus.

Tenerife in our mind
Our school “Scuola Secondaria I grado - ‘Mastro Giorgio - Nelli” takes part in the Erasmus+ project called “Together for a green Europe”.
- “I was scared, anxious but I was curious to meet other students from different countries and make new experiences.” (Martina).
- “When we landed in Tenerife the first impression we had, we were surprised by the warm climate and different environment: the volcano Teide, the desert, the palm trees and lots of cactus plants.” (Rocco).
- “We went to the beach and we walked on the volcanic black sand. We've never seen this beautiful landscape.” (Giulio).
- “When we went to CEIP de Salamanca school in Santa Cruz de Tenerife to meet the other countries, we were welcomed by the Spanish students with all the partners' flags waved.” (Sofia).
- “During the exhibition I was really impressed by the hospitality of the Spanish children who gave us some bracelets with the colours of the Italian, Romanian, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish flags”. (Luigi).
- “The most interesting, amazing and marvellous visit was the “Loro Parque” because we saw  a lot of wild animals: killer whales, seals, penguins, typical parrots of the area and others.
This park is based on the respect and the preservation of the planet and the environment” (Simone).
- “La Laguna” is a typical colonial town on the top of a hill full of lights and the Christmas atmosphere. I felt joyful and peaceful here and  I saw the same feelings and emotions in all the people who live there.” (Dalia).
- “We tasted some typical Spanish food, like paella, tapas and a delicious dessert: polvoron made with almonds and sugar: ew ate it a lot...yummy!!!” (Arianna)
- “I was so much impressed by the Auditorium designed by the famous architect Calatrava who also built the Opera House in Sydney. The Auditorium is a specific modern building for shows, plays and meetings.” (Maddalena).
- “From the Auditorium we could see the ocean with its bright blue color and its spectacular view, surrounded by rocks painted by different  artists.” (Gioia)
Tenerife… you’ll be in our mind and our heart forever!!!
